Manthan Wave Topaz Ring

Rough, rugged, edgy and practically unwearable! Presenting some of my most treasured one-of-a-kind pieces that are embedded with narratives, issues, thoughts and musings.  Each piece is made individually using a slow and serendipitous electroforming process. Replicas not possible. 

With Manthan, I explore the concept of churning as a means of extracting the treasures of life, through material explorations in copper. The ring draws from a transitional terrain between above and below, as well as a coiled serpent as an imagined excerpt from the mythical churning of the ocean of milk, rendered in gold plating, topaz and freshwater pearls.
